Where you do not have all the details to complete a booking or wish to finish the booking at a later time - where your company travel policy permits - you can save the booking as a 'draft'.
In some regions or within certain contexts, Draft Bookings may indeed be referred to as On-Hold Bookings. Both terms typically refer to bookings that are not yet finalised or confirmed but are in progress or pending completion.
At the time of creating the draft booking, by default, an email notification is not sent to the Travel Arranger or Traveller to advise the draft booking has been created. However, this default behaviour can be overridden.
A reminder email is sent to Travel Arrangers at 6:00 am every morning advising bookings they currently have as 'draft'.
The ‘draft’ booking will expire within a set amount of time depending on the providers selected for the booking.
Important Note
- While a booking is in a 'draft' state, the booking is not confirmed and pricing is not guaranteed, i.e. airfares are not 'held' as they are on some airline websites.
- The ability to 'hold' an airfare is not currently available in Zeno.
