Advanced Flight Changes - Post Ticketing

If your booking has been ticketed, and you need to change your flights, you will use Advance Flight Changes to make the change.
The Advanced Flight Changes option will be displayed where...
  • The booking meets the criteria to make changes online based on the airline's rules.
  • You have permission to modify a booking.
Post ticketing - date, time and class of flights can be changed based on airline rules.
If you need to change the route and/or airline, you will need to contact your Travel Expert to make this change on your behalf.
Where the booking has a hotel and/or car, you will need to change these also, after making the required changes to flight(s).

Important Note

If you can't change your flight booking, it's best to consult a travel expert. They can assist you in understanding your options and may help you secure a refund or rebook your flight if needed.

How to change a flight post-ticketing?

To change a flight post ticketing...

  1. Retrieve your booking.

  2. Expand the MANAGE menu and select Advanced flight changes from the drop-down list.

    Tip

    If the Advanced flight changes option is not displayed...

    • You either do not have permission to modify the booking, OR
    • The booking does not meet the criteria to make the change using this option

    Contact your internal Travel Administrator for help.

  3. On the Advanced Flight Changes dialog, click Ok.

    Tip

    The reference to the hotel sector in the prompt will only be displayed if hotel/car sector(s) exist in the booking.

    By default, all sectors are selected for change.

    Note

    • Changes to the route are not permitted and, as such, are disabled for changes.
    • If the Date / Time for a sector has passed, or the sector does not allow changes based on airline rules, the sector will be disabled for changes.
  4. Clear the checkbox for the sectors that you do not want to change.

  5. Select the required date/time for the new flight(s) and click the Search Air Availability button.

  6. Select the required fare(s) and click the Next button.

    Tip

    The new fare must be...

    • Equal to or higher than the original fare
    • On the same airline as the original fare
    • Based on the same route

    Fares that meet the above criteria will be enabled for selection. Fares that do not meet the criteria will be disabled.

    The Price Increase dialog is displayed.

  7. Select an option from the Select Authoriser drop-down list.

    Tip

    Depending on your company policy, you may or may not be required to...

    • Select an Authoriser
    • Select an alternative fare if the additional cost exceeds your company's tolerance amount
    • Select a reason for the change

  8. Click Ok.

    Tip

    Depending on your company policy, you may or may not be required to...

    • Accept the Fare Rules
    • Provide a break policy reason if you have broken the company policy
    • Select a reason for the change
