To complete the Setup for a booking, a Policy must be linked to the booking. A policy defines the airlines, suppliers, classes etc that will be available to select for your booking. The policy is set up based on your company's travel rules.
In most instances, the application will determine the best policy that applies to your itinerary. In this case, the linking of the policy to the booking will happen automatically behind the scenes - the policy field will not even be displayed on the Setup page.
Where the application cannot determine the best policy to use - the 'Available Policies' field will be displayed and you will be required to select a policy to continue the booking process.
How to select a policy?
The steps below assume the itinerary has been created on the Setup page and the Policy field is displayed.
Tip
The field label Available Policies, shown in the screenshots below, may differ for you if your company refers to policies as something different; for example, Travel Plan.
- Click in the Available Policies field.
- Select the required policy from the list.
Example
If the itinerary you created is not supported by your Company Travel Policy, you will be prompted to send your itinerary details to your Travel Expert, to make the booking on your behalf. Refer to Assisted Request -Send to Travel Expert for details.
