Flight Card Components
Flight Overview
Search Criteria
The Flight Header displays the search criteria as entered on the Setup page. The date and/or time can be amended from the Itinerary page by clicking in the drop-down options.
If the route needs to be amended, you will need to go back to the Setup page to make this change.
Time Range
The time range applied to the flights is displayed for your reference.
In scenarios where there is a limited flight inventory (less than 9 flights), you will be presented with an option to perform Search anytime.
Views
The first booking you make will default to the Suggested view, which will display the Shortlist of flights. The different views are displayed as chips. These are highlighted on selection and include a count of available search results based on your search criteria on the Setup page.
You can select an alternative view. Zeno will remember the view you last selected and will default to this for your next booking.
Preferred vs Non Preferred Airlines
Your company travel policy will determine the display of preferred and non preferred airlines based on one of the following...
- Your company policy only has preferred airlines, so non preferred airlines will not be displayed.
- Preferred and non preferred airlines will both be displayed; OR
- Preferred airlines will initially be displayed with a link to access non preferred airlines; OR
A non preferred airline can be identified by the icon.
Flights that Cannot be Booked
Organisations want to limit the number of employees including VIPs who can travel together to minimize risk in case of accidents. When the total number of employees and VIPs in the current booking, and the number of employees and VIPs in existing bookings exceed the configured threshold, warning messages are displayed.
- The selected flight tile is greyed out indicating it cannot be booked.
- In addition to the two error messages, the Out of Policy message is also displayed in the Trip Summary sidebar.
- The CONTINUE TO EXTRAS and EXPRESS CHECKOUT buttons are greyed out.
- Validations are done on operating carriers to ensure that travellers on codeshare flights DO NOT end up on the same physical aircraft.
For connecting flights, each leg is validated separately, and the error message will itemise each leg that exceeds the threshold.
Recommended Flight
Zeno will recommend what is deemed the most logical flight based on a combination of the details entered on the Setup page, your company travel policy and available flights/fares.
Flights Shortlist
The purpose of the Shortlist is to provide a condensed list of available flights to make your selection process quicker, so you are not scrolling through the full list of flights. The full list of available flights is always still available through the List View.
The Shortlist of flights is made up of all Recommended and Premium Preferred flights (if configured) a maximum of an additional 8 flights.
If no Premium Preferred flights are configured, or there are not enough Premium Preferred flights to make up the Shortlist, Zeno will next display the preferred option ordered by price, followed by non-preferred ordered by price.
The flight details displayed are based on the selected flight from the Shortlist (identified with the blue ribbon) or a selected flight from the List View.
Premium Preferred Flights
Premium Preferred flights, also referred to as Corporate Preferred can be identified in the shortlist with the green corner ribbon.
Potential Savings Based on Lowest Fare
Potential Savings is displayed directly below the Shortlist, The Potential Savings highlights the Lowest available fare for the flights returned.
Sometimes the Potential Savings flight may not be displayed in the Shortlist. To select the flight, click the Potential Savings message link.
The lowest fare can easily be identified by the fare value being displayed in green text.
Logos
Where there are connecting flights with different airlines, the airline logos are displayed in the Shortlist and the flight details.
Summary Flight Information
By default, information about the flight is displayed in the summary.
Connecting Flights
To highlight where there are connecting flights with different airlines, the airline logos are displayed on the summary.
To highlight a direct flight, Nonstop text is displayed.
To highlight a one-stop connecting flight, information text is displayed.

To highlight a connecting flight from a different airport, a Warning icon is displayed. To view details of the change of airport i.e. time allowance to change airports and changing from/to, hover over the airport name.
Codeshare Details
When a flight is operated by a different airline than the flight number would suggest, this is referred to as a Codeshare flight. Codeshare information is displayed.
Flight Warning - International Terminal Departure
There can be instances where domestic routes are part of an international route and as such the flight will leave from an international terminal and international check-in requirements will apply.
For such flights, a warning message is displayed.
Flight Amenities
An overview of available flight amenities is illustrated with icons.
- Mouse over each icon for further explanation.
- Flights with connecting flights will reflect where the amenities apply to all flights (an icon will be displayed in a 'full state') vs some flights (an icon will be displayed in a 'half state'). To establish which flights the specific amenities apply to, expand the summary card view flight details.

Fares
By default, fares are displayed in Fare Bands and the lowest fare for the flight is selected. A summary of fare attributes for the selected fare can be viewed by hovering over the icons as shown below e.g. checked baggage, refund availability, lounge access etc. Refer to Fare Details for more information.
Fare Bundles / Upgrade Fares
Based on your company travel policy, Zeno will display applicable fares for the airline. Upon selecting a flight that has additional Fare Bundles or Upgrade Fares, the loading of these fares is highlighted.
Once all the fares have been retrieved, these will be displayed in the Fare Bands accordingly.
Additional Fares
The additional fares are displayed by clicking on the drop-down arrow within the Fare Band.
The list of fares is displayed to select from.
Sector Fare Validation
The information to follow pertains to Sector fares (as opposed to Return/Round trip fares).
Before selecting a fare, the fare value will display in an 'estimated' state and will have an * alongside the fare value. Hovering your mouse over the * will provide an explanation.
Upon selecting a fare, Zeno will validate the fare. A processing bar will briefly display to indicate the validation is in progress.
Zeno will re-price the selected fare and if there is a price increase, or the fare is sold out and the next best fare is selected, the background colour of the box that displays the fare will show as orange to highlight the fare increase.
If all the fares within a Fare Band are sold out - this can occur where the airline has not loaded inventory against any of the fares, SOLD OUT will be displayed for the Fare Band and you must select an alternative fare from a different Fare Band.
Company Offer
If your company or your agency has negotiated a fare with the airline provider, Zeno will show this indicator to cover agency nett fares too,
When the Fare section is expanded, the special fare is displayed within the Fare Band.
Mix Fare Pricing
Airlines may apply different brands across connecting flights. This can be due to a change of aircraft and/or a lack of inventory for a particular cabin class. Zeno highlights the change in brands to a user and picks a major brand.
An indicator under the fare price highlights that the selected fare includes mixed fares,
When you select a mixed fare option, a mixed fares message is displayed in the Fare details panel to highlight which fares do not match and the reason.
Low Seat Warning
Where the airline provides low inventory details, this is highlighted.
Out of Policy Warning
On the Recommended Itinerary page, when you select flights and if the total cost exceeds the trip budget amounts set by your organisation, a warning message is displayed at the bottom of the page,
You can either edit your selection or continue to Extras or Express Checkout to continue with your booking. If you proceed with your booking, this will break company policy and you will need to provide reason(s) on the Confirm page before the booking can be completed
Fare Details
The Fare Details area provides details about what the fare includes, any priority service eligible for the fare and change information. The rules for the selected fare can also be accessed from here.
Traveller vs Travel Arranger

For Travel Arrangers, the Fare Details panel will be collapsed (unless you are logging in to Zeno for the first time or making a booking for yourself). You will need to expand the Fare Details by clicking anywhere in the Fare Details panel to view the information.
- When a travel arranger logs in to Zeno for the first time, the Fare Details panel will be expanded letting them know that Zeno has rich content information. On subsequent visits, the Fare Details panel will be collapsed.
- When a travel arranger is creating a booking for another traveller, the Fare Details panel will be collapsed (unless the travel arranger is logging into Zeno for the first time).
- When a travel arranger is creating a booking for themselves, Zeno considers the travel arranger as a traveller and the Fare Details panel will always be expanded.
Where there is a connecting flight, expand the Fare details panel and toggle between the tabs to view fare details for each leg of the flight.
For some airlines, enriched fare content and attributes are displayed in Zeno in the Fare details panel. Representation of traffic colouring is as follows...

Expand the Carbon Emissions panel to view carbon messaging information with a Cabin class comparison graph demonstrating the different CO2 values per cabin class (if applicable).
If only one cabin class is available for a flight, the graph will only depict that cabin class,
If your company has signed up for Zeno's integrated travel program the Carbon Emissions panel will include the Cabin class comparison graph in the left-hand panel, and information on Carbon offset program in the right-hand panel.
The Cabin class comparison section will display a Cabin class comparison graph demonstrating the different CO2 values per cabin class (if applicable).
The Carbon offset section will display the CO2 value, along with the monetary offset value that is calculated using the unique corporate client portfolio value multiplied by the CO2 emissions. This depicts the total cost to offset each flight which will be invoiced by the carbon provider and settled by your organisation when the booking is travelled. This section also displays illustrations based on your organisation's offset portfolio, with links to the offset portfolio your organisation is enrolled in.
Frequent Flyer Membership
Where the traveller has Frequent Flyer membership details stored in their profile, Zeno will default to use the most frequently used membership for the selected flight,
If a traveller does not have a membership for the airline (including airline partners) stored in their profile, no frequent flyer membership will be displayed.
Some government organisations do not allow their travellers to collect personal membership points for corporate bookings; hence the Frequent flyer section is not displayed for these travellers.

The Frequent Flyer Programmes available on the Add Membership dialog are based on the selected airline from where you chose to add a membership i.e. the selected airline and partner airlines will be available to select.

Available Credits
A combination of your company travel policy and airline rules will determine if you can redeem unused ticket credits through the online booking tool. This section displays all available ticket credits, so you are aware they exist at the time you are making flight selections.
If the Available Credits row is not displayed for your flights, but you believe you have a credit available, you will be required to contact your Travel Expert.
Click the Expand icon to view a list of available credits.
indicates a ticket can ONLY be used by traveller who has been issued the ticket, OR indicates a ticket has been partially used indicating to the travel booker that whilst there is an unused ticket for the Traveller, it is partially flown and the only person able to redeem this credit is the Traveller themselves.
Not all airlines permit ticket credits to be redeemed through an online booking tool. Zeno can still display these, so you know the credit exists, but you will be required to contact your Travel Expert to redeem the credit. These credits are displayed in the list, but with a grey background to distinguish them from other redeemable ticket credits.
