What does all the different terminology for Mobile mean (Native, Responsive, Optimised)?
Terms | Definition |
---|---|
Native Mobile | A mobile application written to work especially on a device platform, the main two being Apple’s iOS and Google’s Android.
Important Note
The Zeno mobile native booking workflow has been discontinued as of 15th November 2024. This change aims to improve user experience by simplifying the booking process. The new responsive workflow adjusts to various devices, making it easy for users to navigate and complete their bookings, regardless of screen size. |
Mobile Responsive | A website that is optimised such that the information and layout adjust to the user's device. The term "mobile optimised" is also sometimes used to describe this. Most of Zeno operates in this manner. |
Hybrid App | A mobile app that combines both elements of native and website applications. |
Wrapper App | A native or cross-platform app that displays a pre-existing external website's HTML content within the web view on a mobile or tablet. |
Cross Platform | Code that works across multiple platforms, we use Flutter for both iOS and Android. This means we build one code base that will result in multiple native mobile apps. |

I recently switched phones and need to set up 2-factor authentication (2FA). How do I setup 2FA?
At present, we DO NOT support Two-Factor Authentication (2FA).
However, if you wish to set up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA), you must use a Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) Single Sign-On (SSO) login. This allows you to use your own SAML software for 2FA, enhancing security for your SAML application and ensuring a robust authentication process.
