This article offers a comprehensive overview of the features and capabilities offered by the Zeno Credits module. This module serves as a valuable tool for travellers/travel arrangers alike, allowing them to manage and utilise their flight credits effectively.
Unused Credit Management Overview
What is the Zeno Credits Module?
The Zeno Credits module provides visibility and utilisation of Unused Ticket Credits and consists of...
- Dashboard Widget – visibility of the top five tickets about to expire.
- Ticket Management – visibility of all unused tickets.
- Booking Process - utilisation of unused tickets via the booking process.
Ticket Credits Widget
When plans change, some airlines will hold the ticket in credit to be used at a later date. This is sometimes referred to as an ‘Unused Ticket’, ‘Ticket credit’, 'Flight credit' or ‘Ticket on hold’. With Ticket Credits switched on, any ticket credit available for the traveller will be displayed for domestic searches once the travel date on the original booking has passed.
The Ticket Credits widget displays the top five unused tickets about to expire based on User Roles and the Unused Ticket Credit configuration applied to their Company.
The unused tickets will be displayed in order of expiry date, with those about to expire at the top of the list.
The Padlock icon is used to identify if the unused ticket can be shared with other travellers. If the Padlock icon
is displayed, this indicates the unused ticket cannot be shared. Likewise, if the padlock icon is not displayed, the ticket can be shared.
Note |
---|
The option to share unused ticket credit with other travellers or not is a result of Airline rules and/or company travel policy. |
To view all unused tickets, click on the VIEW ALL link located at the bottom left corner of the widget. This will open the Ticket Management App.
My Credits
MY CREDITS displays unused tickets available for you to use when creating a booking.
If your company travel policy defines that unused tickets can be shared, you will potentially see unused tickets for other Travellers that are available for them to utilise.
My Travellers, Credits
MY TRAVELLERS’ CREDITS is only displayed where the user has access to other Traveller Profiles, i.e. Travel Arrangers, Authorisers, and Corporate Admin users. This will not be displayed for Travellers.
By default, MY TRAVELLERS’ CREDITS will be displayed, and the widget will display the top five tickets about to expire for travellers the user has access to.
To view unused tickets available to themselves when they are travelling, the user simply selects MY CREDITS.
Ticket Management App
The Ticket Management app can be used to view all tickets that are available to a traveller based on User Roles, Airline Rules and their company travel policy.
In addition to the Unused Ticket list that is displayed, the Ticket Management app provides the ability to select a traveller and cost centre to view the unused tickets that will be available should they make a booking for the traveller/cost centre combination – referred to as Pre-Booking View throughout this article.
The benefit of this is that the unused tickets can be viewed before making the booking without having to go through the process of setting up the booking.
General Navigation
My Credits / My Travellers Credits / Expired
The same logic as described in the previous section for the widget also applies to the Ticket Management App.
-

-
MY TRAVELLERS' CREDITS is only displayed where the user has access to other Traveller Profiles, i.e. Travel Arrangers, Authorisers, and Corporate Admin users. My Travellers Credits will display all unused tickets linked to the Admin Default Cost Centre and lower.

Sharing Unused Tickets
A messaging box will be displayed communicating to the user if tickets can be shared or not, as shown in the following screenshot...
Depending on airline rules and company travel policy, there can be a combination of unused tickets that can be shared/not shared. In the example shown above, the company travel policy defines that unused tickets can only be utilised by the original traveller – so no sharing is permitted.
Where the Padlock icon is displayed alongside a traveller name – this indicates the Unused Ticket cannot be shared. When you mouse over the Padlock icon
this advises that the ticket can only be used by that traveller or it can no longer be shared as it was partially flown, as shown in the following screenshot...
Ticket Information
To view additional information about the unused ticket, mouse over the logo alongside the ticket number, as shown in the following screenshot...
Ticket Not Redeemable Online
Where a ticket is not redeemable online, the ticket row will display as grey. If you mouse over the grey row, the tooltip will communicate that the unused ticket cannot be redeemed online, as shown in the following screenshot...
Default View
Travellers
By default, My CREDITS will be selected, and Zeno will display tickets using the rules that apply to the traveller's Default Cost Centre linked to the Traveller Profile.
If the rules are set to...
- Traveller Only – Zeno will display only unused tickets for the traveller logged in. Zeno will indicate to the Traveller that these tickets cannot be shared with other travellers.
- Booking Cost Centre Only – Zeno will display all unused tickets for the travellers' Traveller's Default Cost Centre, including tickets for other travellers. Zeno will indicate to the Traveller that these tickets can be shared amongst travellers.
- Configured and Lower – Zeno will use the traveller's Default Cost Centre and look up the company structure until it finds where the rules are configured. Then Zeno will display all unused tickets for the configured cost centre and lower-level cost centres, including tickets for other travellers. Zeno will indicate to the Traveller that these tickets can be shared amongst travellers.
Note |
---|
Where the enhanced unused ticket configuration has been applied, there could be a combination of the rules outlined above. |
Travel Arranger / Authoriser
By default, MY TRAVELLERS' CREDITS will be selected, and Zeno will display all unused tickets from the Admin Default Cost Centre and lower.
Zeno will use the rules for Unused Tickets from the Master Corporate, and the following logic will apply...
If rules at the Master are set to...
- Traveller Only – Zeno will indicate that unused tickets cannot be shared with other travellers.
- Booking Cost Centre Only – Zeno will indicate that tickets can be shared amongst travellers.
- Configured and Lower – Zeno will indicate tickets can be shared amongst travellers.
TMC / Support Admin
By default, MY TRAVELLERS' CREDITS will be selected, and Zeno will display all tickets linked to Travellers that the Admin User has access to.
As an Admin User does not have a Master Corporate profile linked to their profile – the rules that define if a ticket can be shared or cannot be sourced and subsequently will not be applied.
If an Admin User wants to view the sharing status of a ticket, they must use the Pre-Booking View.
Pre-Booking View
The purpose of the Pre-Booking view is to allow a Traveller / Travel Arranger to view unused tickets as they would if they were in the booking process – but without having to set up the booking.
The Pre-Booking View requires a Traveller and Cost Centre to be selected, as these are the two main criteria when displaying unused tickets during the booking process.
Upon selecting a Traveller / Cost Centre combination, the relevant unused tickets will be displayed with the appropriate sharing indicator.
The same defaults as the booking process will apply. i.e. for Travellers, the Traveller's profile will default as the Traveller and their Traveller Default Cost Centre will default as the Cost Centre; for Travel Arrangers, they will select a Traveller and the Cost Centre will default based on the Traveller Default Cost Centre linked to the selected Traveller profile.
Where a Traveller can travel under multiple cost centres, there is the option to select an alternative cost centre.

The purpose of displaying the unused tickets on the Itinerary page is to allow you to make an informed decision when selecting your flights – that may be based on the utilisation of an unused ticket.
Unused Ticket Selection
Where Unused Tickets have been activated, the most logical ticket for the booking will be allocated. The list of unused tickets displayed is based on a combination of the airlines returned in the availability and rules defined in the Corporate Profile.
There is the option to 'unselect' the unused ticket that Zeno automatically allocated, OR an alternative unused ticket can be selected.
Note |

The ability to select an unused ticket only applies to single-passenger bookings. |
